Creamy Tomato Sauce

A really versatile sauce that can be adapted so many ways This sauce is the basis to so many dishes.  It’s really easy and fast to make yet still healthy.  As I’ve mentioned before I love pasta and when short of time this makes a great mid week meal.


2 Tinned chopped tomatoes

6 Cloves garlic finely grated

2 White onions finely sliced

large handful of fresh basil

2 Tsp Mixed herbs

2 Tsp Coconut sugar

2 Tbsp Tomatoe puree

1 Tbsp Vegan Parmesan cheese

1 Tbsp Nutritional yeast


In a pan add a little water gently cook the onions and garlic until soft.

Add in the tins of chopped tomato and heat until simmering.

Add the fresh basil, mixed herbs, nutritional yeast and vegan Parmesan cheese.  Stir until combined.

Add in the tomato purée and simmer until sauce has thickened slightly.

Transfer the tomato sauce to a blender and blitz until smooth.



The sauce is done.  You could double up the ingredients and freeze half.
