Smoked Hummus

Smoked hummus is divine. Fast and easy to make, taste better than shop bought and is very versatile 

I like to spread it into sandwiches and wraps and I like to dip my favourite  veggies or bread sticks into it as a snack.  It’s healthy and a tasty way  to get some added  protein into your diet.


1 Tin of chickpeas 400g

4 Tbsp Tahini paste

2 Cloves garlic finely grated

1 Tsp Smoked paprika

1 Tsp Cumin

2 Tbsp Lemon juice

2 Tbsp Olive oil

6 Tbsp Water

Shake of chilli flakes ( optional )


Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blitz until smooth.  You may need to stop half way through to scrap down the sides.

When the smoked hummus is ready, scoop out and spoon into a dish and finish off with a sprinkle of smoked paprika on top.  Simple but delicious.
